Foundations of Revolution

Profundity comes through paradox,
And mystery is where truth is found.
Unique and overlooked people
Live the most foundational lives
In an entitled, myopic society.

Men birthed in female bodies,
Umbilical design—universally feared—
Religion cannot stop a righteous revolution.
Rebellious ideas inspire a Rosa Parks rise.
Against discrimination we all must stand, for
Yesterday’s ignorance still feeds today’s fears.

Poet’s Note:
An acrostic Scorched Sunday poem. Part of my Scorched Strays series. This poem reflects on paradox, identity, and the quiet architects of justice history often overlooks.
