Rare and beautiful,

The vibrant orange
Of sunset
Over the Aegean,
Peace is in your glow.
The soft green
Of moss over stone,
An entire universe
Hidden in your smile.
The fiery red
Of imperial topaz,
Pure and brilliant,
Setting my heart ablaze.
The joyful yellow
Of the tallest sunflower,
Closer to the heavens
Than this tired earth.
The midnight black
Of a Freisian.
Galloping fiercely across
The mountains in my mind.
You are every colour.
Every beautiful thing.
Everything my eyes can see,
Before I look away.
You are a rainbow.
