Stand It

I dream about you daily,

You give me your hand then take it,

I hate you with too much love,

How much longer before we face it?

You said I\'ll write poems for you, I am,

When you read them, what do you think?

Am I a sore loser in pain,

Or the one you had that got away?

Whatever you think I\'m drowning in memories,

Of untouched lips and black matter photos,

What if we met in a café and I held your hands to my face,

Then you take them away and my heart is all the rage,

What if you interlaced your hand with mine,

And I whispered stories as we lost time,

No matter what I do and try,

You\'re gone, there\'s too much peace,

I can\'t stand it.
