Towards Spring

The striking clouds of wispy white
the greener greens, the celandines
The shoots of daffodils in between
through winter months they\'d lain unseen

And now it\'s time to take their turn
to pierce blue sky and catch the eye
March wind rustles like a train passing by
down grassy banks where stems grow high

The blue tits busy back in the box
the race has begun, the warming sun
A brood on the way, they don\'t have long
before the blossoming chance is gone

And in my heart joy starts to flow
I feel it full, I feel the pull
Out of the darkness into wonderful
the promise of something beautiful
