Remembering PG

Rest In Peace PG (female)

Your suffering is over now

Though we visited you in hospital

You had a bad back pain one evening

And were taken to hospital

Then a diagnosis -

Only three to four months left to live - a return of the \'c\' word illness

But caught a chest infection too

And only survived a little less than three months

Living day by day - \'playing it by ear\', as the saying goes

Is all any of us can do; we can\'t live tomorrow

As it\'s not here yet.....

You and your family PG had  - and has

Various health matters and conditions - and ongoing

The family is strong in their adversities

They have soldiered on - and still do now

You let me pray for you in hospital, PG

You had some faith at least

As the saying goes:

\'Those who have faith, a lot or a little

Whether known by other people, or known by God alone\'

I felt, as at certain other times

A gut feeling, something unsettling

Deep within - in my spirit, I suppose

Iin our spirits, if we too have the same feeling

Of something \'about to happen\'

Or \'something recently happened\'

This is one of the major things

Causing my erratic poetry at times

Though other ongoing things too

When I may disappear or go quiet for a while

Go to your eternal rest now, PG.....

And a mourning Mothers Day too.....

What is poignant too is that I had a message:

\'PG would love to see you again;

She appreciates your visits

Though you don\'t live locally\'
