Your words echo throughout my head
with a Godlike presence: invisible and intrusive.
I don\'t mean to be rude, just know
you scream to a woman lost in the Grand Canyon:
I hear you, and then there\'s more,
and then there’s more, and then
the vibrating air dies. I could not grab it in time.
Though your voice comes,
it comes distorted, then vanishes.
I always find myself missing that voice.
For a moment I thought I wasn\'t lost.
I looked around for you, but my mere human eyes
can\'t find you in a canyon this large.
Your presence is gone. All that is left
is to search for a way out of this hole.
Your voice was the closest thing to a map I had.
Please, come by more often.
