Pink
Four pink walls.
Silence falls.
They had no borders,
Now, the world on my shoulders.
Boundless in my imagination,
Precious pink years, my foundation.
In my princess tower,
I held all the power.
Traded pink hues,
For grownup shoes.
A rainy cityscape,
Missing a superwoman cape.
Hands covered in glitter,
Far from city light shimmer.
That little girl,
She held the world.
I miss her dear,
Though I hold her near.
On my bed, a pink pillow rests,
In my heart forever she nests.
Sitting miles from my pink tower.
Of her, of me, I could not be prouder.
