Chronicles of Warnia

In the dubious land of Warnia,
where empathy took a holiday,
and monsters played eenie‑meenie‑mo
to choose chaos for the day.

Birds of prey circled
schools filled with futures,
muttering tales of threats
and dark intruders.

Beasts fear the rise of knowledge
Just as a vicious sting
a mind that thinks might ask
why we need a king?

Their jaws then relished
hospitals, dens of healing,
for mercy irked them more than
failure’s crack sealing.

 They knew if sapiens
stop incessant suffering
how will we keep
them loyal and kneeling?

The pests break open cages
Scurrying their folks,
Nudging panic in lungs
causing fire without smoke.

Some were lured into the land,
some bottled by the powers that be,
wandering through Warnia’s haze
just like a dream of a genie.
