Two Hearts by Vessa Blumenbaum

It sounds like the wisdom of all Persons—

That soft, warm, rhythmic beat of hearts,

NTwo hearts are beating in unison:

*Thump-thump, thump-thump, thump-thump.*

The burdens of the human world

Have been just cast aside.

Above them lies the azure sky ,

Below, a deep, primeval wood.

Shelters their without wedding  bond.

Whatever they possess, they share—

Everything is held in common strong.

Their cares and quite leisure

Their sorrows and their joys—

All are shared between the two

Of this couple in the woods gay.

Just the two of them there too.

There were two of them.Together

They felt cosy and warm—at once.

Even when snow fell outside at bad weather,

And the wind beat against the dark glass.

The night beckoned them into its embrace;

The dawn caressed them with its light...

And so, in perfect harmony and love space

Twenty swift years flew

Beyond the woods lie quarrel, and lies;

But here—quite peace within th.spirit

The world will never understand them—doesn’t try.

The night is calling them now beneath coverlid its.

There’s no point in arguing over happiness:

Whoever is happy is, by definition, right.

Their hearts keep beating—twenty years.

Having become one whole.and shines…
