About Galya and Cossacks from Ukraine Folk

The Cossacks rode from the Don to home,

They lured Galya and took her with them alone.

Oh, you Galya,  very young Galya!

They lured Galya and took her with them alone

\"Come with us, with us cossacks rather -

You will be better off, like in your own mother!

Oh, you Galya,  very young Galya!

You will be better off, like in your own mother!”

They drove, they drove Galya through dark forests,

They tied Galya to a pine tree with braids for a rest.

Oh, you Galya,  very young Galya!

They tied Galya to a pine tree with braids for a rest.

They wandered through the forest, picked up brushwood

They set fire the pine tree frome the lag  to  the head

Oh, you Galya,  very young Galya!

They set fire the pine tree frome the lag  to  the head

The pine tree burns, it burns and too burns,

Galya scream with a scream, scream and pronounce.

Oh, you Galya,  very young Galya!

Galya scream with a scream, scream and pronounce:

Oh, whoever hears me in the forest, let him save,

Oh, whoever has daughters, let him fave!\"

Oh, you Galya,  very young Galya!

Oh, whoever has daughters, let him fave!\",

\"And whoever has a daughter, let him teach tight -

He does not let a girl walk alone on dark nights.”

Oh, you Galya,  very young Galya!

He does not let a girl walk alone on dark nights.

The Cossack called: “I’m spending the night in the field,

I can scursely hear your weak  voice from afar width”.

Oh, you Galya,  very young Galya!

I can scursely hear your weak  voice from afar width.

The Cossack called : “I’m plowing hurd in the fields,

I straight recognise your voice from afar. widths”.

Oh, you Galya,  very young Galya!

I straight recognize your voice from afar widths.
