Peace and War

In the name of Peace,

the wars must cease.

From the days of old,

to the modern day,

In all types of wars,

it\'s a consistent play.

There is a war of greed,

the hunger for more.

Doubling down on

neighbours’ back door.

There is a war of fear

that hides in the night,

It turns the mankind

away from the light.

There is a war of jealousy

a weapon of choice,

For those who have lost

their soul’s voice.

They incite the fire

because they cannot fight,

Watching from shadows,

devoid of the light.

Most of religious knowledge,

has only a fragment of truth,

It is used to steal away hope,

and dreams of the youth.

They claim the divine,

quoting a passage, a line.

They use a sacred symbol

to mask their design.

But a god of the ego

is no god at all,

Just a vengeful deity

who is not too tall.

Then there is war

for the sake of war

Profiteers’ profit,

from mankind’s scar.

Living in the minds of

of the egoistic man.

There is a war of ego,

to become \"great\" again.

Greatness isn\'t a title,

to harm or to kill.

Or to bend the weak

to the conqueror’s will.

Greatness is found,

in the intent to help.

Not in the roar of the lion,

or the Jackals’ yelp.

It’s in the power to heal,

not resources to steal.

The power to accept,

to uphold a fair deal.

There may be a moment

when silence is wrong,

The weak must be shielded

by the hands of the strong.

The glory of war,

always lies in peace.

If it’s for a just cause,

that brings the ease.

War is not for glory,

war is not for gain,

It is not certainly to revel

in another man’s pain.

So, help if you can, please,

don’t just stand at the crease.

In the name of Peace,

unjust wars must cease.

In the name of Peace,

the wars must cease.
