Even though we both just had a fight,
But the way she sleeps so comfy—holding her pillow tight,
It looks so cute— a beautiful, endearing, peaceful sight.
I wonder what she might be dreaming tonight?
Maybe of our first Christmas night,
Or the day I will marry her in broad daylight.
But honestly, seeing her sleep so relaxed just feels so right.
Wait—what if she is having a nightmare,
Which is making her hold that pillow so tight?
If that’s the case, I will be her dark knight,
Rescuing her out of that plight.
I swear to God I will destroy that wight
who dares to make her feel fright.
Because her arrival in my life made everything so bright;
Everything around me is now full of colors—
Everything around feels decorated with lights.
Yes, I know I am already late for getting ready for my flight,
But seeing her so calm shuts the alarm,
And brings my confidence to a new height,
Making me feel that everything will be alright.
I pet her head gently with my palm:
“Everything will be alright.”
