We met some years ago
After my wife had passed,
We met at croquet.
We seemed to get on
And now we are best friends.
We play our favourite game every week,
We have gone out to dinner,
And we meet for coffee.
And we talk,
We talk of many things.
And we know each other,
Know each other so well.
We know things that trust brings,
That trust in friendship is important
And that trust is there between us
In our friendship,
A friendship so profound
And will be that way forever.
