There we were sitting at dinner
Enjoying our food,
A glass of wine each.
And then it came,
A little fly appeared.
It would not go away,
It sat on the side of my glass
But didn’t go in,
Then it flew over to Mary
And landed in her glass
And started drinking.
Mary got it out
And it went onto her plate.
So the fly had a good evening,
Dining on fine wine
And delicious food.
But then it went away
Obviously satisfied,
Satisfied with its meal.
