i wandered through the barley so beautiful and gold
so wonderful to touch so wonderful to hold
underneath the sun growing oh so high
standing very upright reaching for the sky
. growing very free growing in the wild
looking very lovely so gentle meek and mild
. such a lovely site and growing oh so tall
the day i walked through barley is a day i will recall.
