Letters to a Silent Father.

Dad,
I’m grown up now,
but I still cry.

I was supposed to be your little princess,
the one you rushed home to,
perched on your shoulders,
watching the sky change colors.

I was supposed to throw tantrums in candy shops,
hide behind you when Mumma got mad,
and make you Father’s Day cards,
crooked hearts, too much glue, all for you.

But instead,
I write to a silence
that never answers back. 💔
