I often ponder
The dualistic nature
Of humankind,
How such sadism
And barbarism
Can exist in the
Same breath
As such altruism
And devotion,
We contradict ourselves
So thoroughly
That I begin to
Sympathise with
Philosophers and
Theologians,
For what must
It feel like
To spend one\'s life
In pursuit of the logic
Behind, why someone
Comes home to
Kiss their wife\'s cheek,
Surprising her with flowers,
Then a minute later,
Orders someone
To set the world
On fire.
