Mark The Phenomenon

My children\'s children

The clock ticks slowly, the days run fast,
I work and strive, a shadow cast.
The money earned, the sweat I pour,
Is not for me, not anymore.

These hands may tire, this body age,
But for their future, I engage.
The house, the savings, bit by bit,
A ladder was built, where they can sit.

For when I\'m gone, beyond the sun,
These worldly things, I\'ll leave undone.
But in their lives, a brighter spark,
A chance to rise, to leave their mark.

My legacy, a seed I sow,
That they may reap, and watch it grow.
My children\'s children, strong and free,
Remembering all I meant to be.
