take care

marked, field in dark

alone on stone.

\'Life took care of me

after

I took care of myself\'

here lay mother\'s child

success, sole little pile.

take for yourself nothing more.

take for yourself nothing less.

men will want your more

men will want no less

credit for work, bought or lent

but a true poet will never lament

and cry her lack of self important.

and let me tell you of emotion\'s rent

that must be payed by verse sent

written with meaningful intent,

this warning no may circumvent.

so write, child, take care

write, old soul, take care.

write without fame in your hair,

write instead so you may tear,

incite excite intensify a change

within the corrupt\'s lair.

I say, take care!

above most all, take care!

first flower for formidable growth,

must bloom within self\'s bold oath.

second spread scents - inspire worldwide.

so, rest you may lay lastly lots self-satisfied.

\'I took care of myself

Before

Life took care of me.\'
