Blake was up most of the night with the thought of “too good to be true.” Sure it’s an old business that’s being turned into around; like new. Blake is not foolish and he sees today’s world so much different then from when his parents ran this place; in 2026 there’s workforce shortages, a permitting process, and inflation; financial strain. Absolutely Blake wants to get back out there again with the support of the community! But Blake has a good head on his shoulders and must face reality. All the what if’s begin running through his mind. Times like these he wishes Bessy were here; as she was his biggest supporter most of the time. “Bessy.” Blake’s mind begins to reminisce; he knows he was wrong and it’s been her that he’s missed. Yes he’s had other relationships but he had the habit of comparing those women to Bessy. “She’s the one who got away; and was the very best of me.” Blake doesn’t have strong Faith; but he believes just the same. In fact there were moments in his life when he wondered how he made it through deep pain. He prays. He reads the good word; but it’s been a few years now. Life got in the way since his last relationship didn’t quite work out. So it looks like when reality is included in my story, things look a bit more complicated wouldn’t you agree? These are deep concerns for anyone trying to thrive in today’s economy. Yet Blake and Bessy have a relationship with God; Bessy’s is much stronger while Blake isn’t sure what to do. But even “faith as small as a mustard seed can make mountains move.” This concludes the story for today; see you soon? Come on; what do you say?
