Many look at art and look for beauty,
Look for beauty in the work.
But art is not beauty
It is the things that can be seen
In the story untold.
Art is not perfection,
It’s courage to see,
To see the ordinary,
See the strange,
See the wild and the free.
It’s a lens for the heart
To seek out the truth,
The truth that’s hidden behind
That we can each see differently.
So let us not chase what’s pretty or neat,
But cherish the vision where differences meet.
For art is not beauty, but seeing anew
A journey, a question, a window, a view.
