So Far Yet So Close
Do you ever scream at clouds for crying?
Whilst they waste away slow.
Tired and tortured from trying.
Flying through mountains of snow.
Will you see me and this?
Just that one person I don\'t know.
That one who understands.
How it feels all alone.
Please, just someone to hold close.
Someone hug me, I\'m froze.
So cold.
I\'m so cold.
Is that bad.
Who knows.
Day so old.
Week so old.
Month longer.
A year goes.
And you\'re there.
But you\'re gone.
Where.
None.
And I swear.
To your God.
That I\'ll stay there.
As one.
With my eyes.
Looking up.
Up at the sky.
With my ears.
All I hear.
Is your light.
With my nose.
I smell rose.
And I like.
With my hand.
I pull thorns.
So you like.
It
With my eyes.
Surprise cries
With my ears.
You scream tears.
With my nose.
I suppose.
That with my hands.
Hold you close.
Through these times.
Of such dark.
Through these gates that won\'t close.
Through the rhymes that remark.
Oh how I held you close.
In my arms I embrace.
Every tear from your face.
And I hold up the weight of your world.
For you are that girl.
That makes my heart and brain swirl.
And when you look with your oh so goddamn beautiful pearls.
You twirl, my soul now never goes.
Unfurl, and let out all your woes.
Eternal, Phoenix in us rose.
And we borrow our heart and hold it close.
The sorrow is art, hold it close.
Hold us close until the end.
And then let us close it.
Together.
So far.
Yet so close.
