Beneath the arch
Of sheltering trees
Amidst the lilac
Scented breeze
The trickling sunlight
Rain now paused
Single droplets
From leaves fall.
The aching bones
Of previous night
Bathed in silver
Moonlight bright
Seem to linger
In memorys tray
Invading thought
Upon this day.
The wanton moment
Lost to life
Time a dance
To relight
My footsteps upon
A well worn path
In solitude
To gently pass.
