I wish you gave me butterflies.
The kind that flit around in my stomach,
When I see your smile,
The kind that make my heart stutter
when you call me pretty.
The kind that warms my cheeks,
When we hold hands.
God I wish it were you.
Why can\'t it be you?
I want to love you.
but
my
stomach
is
sinking.
The butterfies close their wings,
Not even a whisper.
They are drowning on the bile,
Of all the lies that fester in me.
The acid burns their wings to dust,
Flutter no more,
little butterflies.
The ones that survived have gone,
Flew out my mouth in lies,
\"I feel the same\"
Gone.
\"Yes\"
Gone.
\"I love you\"

Nothing but lies made of bile remain,
Rotting me from the inside out,
It\'s strange how something decaying,
Can smell so sweet.
Lies sugarcoated will be flavored like honey,
And look decadent.
But they all kill you eventually,
No matter how good they taste.
