I Remember tomorrow,
As the sun arrests me
in the now
Time’s like taffy to swallow,
Seconds stretched,
Stuck together,
Like The sun knows how…
Just how to snatch
the arrow I’m caught on,
That drags me ceaselessly
through dark skies…
A sun so crisp and clear,
When it halts and hangs,
Motionless, heavy,
As it breaks from its rise.
Rays reach outwards
like hands grasping
each moment,
Pulling at either end,
Elongating time somehow…
Seconds stretch and spill over,
Borders of “back then”
and “later” melt away..
The sunrise seizes me
And I’m fully in The Now.
