Busy Bee

Oh dear, oh dear,

you fear of the wind

that\'s rushed past you

How it ruffled your hair,

and wrinkled your clothes

Oh dear, oh dear,

you don\'t look down to see

the petals and the seeds

that haven\'t passed you by

In your hurry you\'ve ignored

the pollen you\'ve earned

that dot your hair like

snowflakes in the sun

You think of the wind

that\'s gone and away,

and how much you\'ve lost

along with it

But you don\'t think

of the grass that grows where you step, or the ones

who notice you\'ve slept

after days of chasing pollen

Only to realize that the wind

has brought it to you

So please, dear, look ahead

at your arms and your legs

Not the wind or the unrest

And see, busy bee,

the pollen you collect
