Being justified by faith we
Have peace now with our God, see
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, for He
The bearer of our sins be
By Christ also we have access
Into God\'s presence no less
Access by faith into this grace
Where we stand, e\'en every race
And we rejoice in the hope sure
Of glory, condemned no more
Christ our Paraclete*, Advocate
Divine and human His state
Before God the righteous Judge we
Should have faced the penalty
Of our sins, even death sentence
But through Christ go forth free hence
Our Defender, He pleads our case
His love, grace, mercies we trace
Forgiveness, acquittal, favour
Trusting Jesus** our Saviour
