Everything is for a reason,
Find purpose in each season,
To suffer makes you stronger,
But can I fake this any longer?
Their unsaid expectations
To turn this bad into good.
To mend up and to move on–
Their rules say that I should…
So, I search deep for lessons,
Find mine veiled by this new pain,
Make a plan for redemption,
I’m rushed to heal and reframe.
But, my comeback’s not forward,
And their timeframe closes in,
I smile for their comfort,
To hide how I’ve really been.
Really, I’m lost in the darkness,
No meaning or message to show,
Maybe trauma can linger,
And sometimes we just don’t grow…
Truth is, I’m not any more wise,
I\'ve found no blessing in disguise,
And some things just leave a scar,
Without making us who we are.
