A Plea to the Moon

Moon Light, Moon Light, Shining Bright;

Our Sentinel Loyal throughout the Night,

Look on us a Kindly Face,

We\'re not quite all an incorrigible Race.

Moon Light, Moon Light, Shining Bright;

The Beacon Royal of Poets delight,

Though Centuries come and Centuries go,

You Witness all life\'s troublous flow:

Of Wars and Hate that fill our days;

The Inanity Carnival of Boisterous ways.

Moon Light, Moon Light, Shining Bright,

The great Appraiser from on height,

In Judgement Hold - for this may sway:

For Lover\'s Hearts will have their way.
