Time it stands
In solitude
A strangers shadow
Against the gloom
An empty station
Beside railway tracks
That wear the burden
Of journeys past.
Signal lights
Observed by eyes
Distant pained
Many tears cried
Each line on face
Much like the tracks
Worn and jaded
Looking back.
The train it rocks
From afar
Rattling each
Passenger car
Closing in
Like a bad day
Memories now
To take away.
