In My Simple Clumsy Way

I gather thoughts and so engage;

By letters formed upon the page-

To write of Secrets from Hearts Domain;

Those feelings warm, in Sweetest pain.

To relate the Girl with Nature\'s Store;

By Analogy\'s fill and Sentiments pore.

So I sing  of Twilights in August days;

Your Temper matched by Forest Ways.

An  Oft fayed Cliche for your Eyes;

The Warming Sun when on the Rise.

The Twinkling Stars that duly knew;

A Kindred Spirit of brighter Hue.

A Girl as free as the Wind that Sails;

Through Patchwork Fields and upland Dales.

With Breathless tones the voice implies;

Of Winding Brooks and Flowing Sighs

Through full soft lips I\'d fain unite;

With Roses Pink and Peonies bright.

These colours grand of the Poetry kind;

I\'d paint of you straight from the Mind.

But If laid out in Humble  speech;

I\'d get confused -  words out of reach.

For in my Simple Clumsy Way;

I\'d struggle hard what\'s plain to say.

So forget the Poems ,  here\'s something NEW-

In Modest Words :   I Love You.
