Home

I know that at the end of the day

My darling

You will say something

And it will bring me home

As I turn around

And find you cooking something new

Absorbed in your art

With your beautiful amber eyes

Glowing, as you look at

Your perfect, undisturbed creation

And I look at you, still amused

How my aching, found a cure

I will never know for sure

And then later, you play the piano

As I close my eyes

Wrapped in your green throw

Flowing with more love than I am

Than I am allowed to show

Maybe you will never love me the way

The way I, love you

But I know you will say something

And it will bring me home

May I never know, the boundary of your care

May I die before I have to

Before I have to share

All this peaceful glory

This hope, in the form of you

I know you will say something

And it will bring me home, to you.
