LOVE

In a court of law, stood a man accused. His head hung low, feeling sad and used.

He tried to show the beauty of love and peace to a world filled with hate and fear.

Meekly wept for our souls, as He was beaten and pained to tears.

Jury cried, “Death!”, and He was nailed to a Tree. The crowd mocked the prisoner yet He emitted no plea.

Said, “With the sealing of My fate, I set you All Free!”.

His Soul rose to His Father and said, “Thy will be done. Today, Satan has been caged; power over him, has been won!”

And the guards shook in awe as the ground crumbled, day turned to night; lightning cracked and thunder boomed.

The ultimate ironic paradox; with Man’s most savage act of innocent slaughter, he has been saved from Eternal Doom!

Now the price of Man seemed too much for its worth, yet through blood, sweat and tears, He lovingly paid the fare.

And when it was finished, He sighed and asked His Father, “Do you think their hearts will continue to be bare?”

“My Son, if they desire, believe, and are True; the very Love you have displayed today can be found each time they fall to their knees and ask for guidance, through You!”
