Mom\'s famous speech of life.

Mom\'s famous speech of life.

The ink is dry upon the sheepskin scroll,
A golden seal to crown the weary mind,
But parchment cannot measure out the soul,
Or teach the heart the wisdom it must find.

For brilliance is a spark that lights the dark,
A restless fire that burns without a chart;
It leaves upon the world a jagged mark,
Born of the instinct, not the formal art.

You’ll find the scholar trapped in tethered lines,
Repeating truths that others wrote before,
While genius dwells where untamed logic shines,
And opens wide the locked and rusted door.

So do not weigh the worth against the wall,
Where dusty titles hang in framed display;
The brightest minds may never heed the call
Of lecture halls where shadows go to gray.

True mastery is etched in sweat and stone,
A quiet insight, sharp and keen and deep;
It walks the path that wisdom carves alone,
While titles watch the graduates asleep.
