I still remember you and your sharp dark brown eyes,
Yet in this memory - your eyes were soft and full of love.
We were where we usually sat during our breaks,
My eyes locked on yours for what felt like eternity.
When your following words snapped me back into my reality: \"I could look into your eyes forever, and get lost in them\",
I broke away from your gaze,
Looking away, I told you \"No, you won\'t, you will stop loving me one day\".
You kept denying my words or rather my intuition,
Trying to convince me to have faith in you - in us.
It\'s been years since that day,
And time has proved my intuition right.
But if truth be told...love doesn\'t exist between me and you,
It never did.
I remember all those days I had to fight my discomfort,
So that you could feel comfortable enough to lie to my face about how you\'ll always love me,
and only me,
Whilst I sat there staring into those deceitful brown eyes of yours.
