Life A Natural Disaster

A storm with no warning

One minute you’re sunlight

The next you’re swallowed

By a sky that forgot

How to be blue

It shakes you

Like an earthquake in the chest

Cracks forming quietly

Under the ribs

Where no one can see

The fault lines spreading

It floods

memories rising like dirty water

Touching everything

Ruining what you thought

Was waterproof

It burns

Wildfire in the mind

Thoughts turning to ash

Before you can name them

Before you can save them

It collapses

A landslide of moments

You never meant to lose

Gravity pulling you

Into versions of yourself

You didn’t choose

And still

You rebuild

Hands trembling

Heart stubborn

Standing in the wreckage

Like a survivor

Who refuses

To stop surviving

Because life is a natural disaster

So are you

A force that keeps rising

From whatever tried

To bury you
