DEAD READINGS
Books in libraries, books in urns,
closed books, cancelled pages.
The death of words,
those invisible books,
even if they can be seen.
No one will read them,
embalmed books,
words lost behind glass,
doors shut to their reading, killed.
Libraries that only keep the shells of the past,
stories, words, thoughts no one reads,
treasures so well guarded they have died
without anyone ever reading them again.
Armored books,
for nothing.

LECTURAS MUERTAS
Libros en bibliotecas, libros en urnas,
libros cerrados, páginas canceladas.
La muerte de las palabras,
esos libros invisibles,
aunque se vean.
Nadie los leerá,
libros embalsamados,
palabras perdidas entre cristales,
puertas cerradas a su lectura, matados.
Bibliotecas que solo guardan carcasas del pasado,
historias, palabras, pensamientos que nadie lee,
tesoros tan guardados que han muerto
sin que nadie los vuelva a leer.
Libros acorazados,
para nada.
