SUNSET

I fear the sunset
Was too beautiful
For idle men
Without words
As auburn leaves
Fell in rhyme
The moment blessed
In ink and shared.

Each wisp of cloud
In sunsets haze
Violet blue
Of day to fade
Sinking deeper
A closing eye
Scattered faces
Lifes lullaby.

Within the arms
Of falling night
Its wondrous cradle
Natures sight
Upon its journey
While mortals rest
From time began
Its daily quest.
