ELIORA

Those days

Gone are those days
When worry was a stranger,
No tears, no pain,
No haunting memories.

Life was worth living,
Love our guiding light,
And we waited for sunrise
Like it promised peace.

Will we ever feel that calm again?
Just like the good old days.

Are we?
Will we choose love and respect over money,
Or watch in silence
As corruption rules over good morals —
Just like the days of Sodom and Gomorrah?

Change happens, I know,
But it should be for good.
I just hope we find our peace,
Just like the good old days.
