A Taste of Freedom
The gulls are all
going crazy
both in the sky
and the recently
smart bomb
ploughed fields
and factories
that as yet
remain standing
behind my
old banked barn ..
There must be
something going
on back
there surely
to make them all
behave like
starving children ..
Each having
found their own
convoluted
route to freedom
and their
sudden release
from hungry ghettos ..
