Oscars of Controversy

CODA’s triumph crowned the night with golden glow,

While Dune amassed its six in grand display.

Tammy Faye’s eyes shone softly, Belfast low,

And countless films each garnered their own sway.

Yet shadows marred the stage where stars should shine,

As Will Smith struck Chris Rock in fleeting rage.

The joke, a spark that crossed an unseen line,

And cast a decade-long ban on the stage.

Eight categories set apart, unseen,

Left critics scornful, fans with voices few.

The telecast drew sixteen million keen,

Yet whispers told of chaos passing through.

O Hollywood, where glamour masks the strife,

Your night of dreams reflected human life.
