Etiquette on a Summer train

I’m not bothered again,

Why are they so self-entitled?

Summer days with summer weather,

Busy days with summer callings,

Usually we see you in your elephantine cars,

We don’t know how you afford them.

Stampedes of menopausal tribes,

Barbaric, rude, obnoxious, rash,

Lethe-wards they march my way

Bellowing oblivious, elbows on full display.

Country of etiquette,

Not on this summer day.

I tell myself facts to avert the crime,

South Western is bearable some of the time,

Tho’ my journey short compared to theirs,

Why should I be made to fuss?

Next time I’ll just take the bus
