So Raven came once more to me
and whispered softly and gently
he told me hold your head up high
but I just shrugged my shoulders with a sigh
he didn\'t need to say much more
my tears were flooding
broken heart raw
It\'s time, he said
It\'s time to see
what life and death does really mean?
for those who\'ve passed won\'t want you sad
they want you to look
back on love
not all that\'s bad
be glad that once your souls did touch
as death does come, does come and much
yet those of us who\'ve
been left to cry
tears of pain, one day will dry
perhaps no rainbows nor angels fly
yet pain that eases pain gone by
and if such grief does never pass
remember, death’s on each soul’s compass.
