Imposter Syndrome

I saw a reflection of someone in my eyes
Someone who is supposed to be me- what a surprise.
I don’t know the whereabouts of her
  yet she’s someone I prefer
It’s a dilemma; she IS the reality
but god, I’m a mess; that’s my identity
  What an odd estrangement
  What a mimicking arrangement
All I see is a frolicking mess of dystopia
How is she in a utopia?

  I rub my eyes and
I see her with a knife; is this planned?
stab stab stab! It’s a bloody mess
  And lord, I can\'t confess
I’m alive and well, but my reflection?
She lies dead, under all the agitation.
Poor girl, she’s afflicted and looks perturbed
And at that moment, I swerved
 Swerved and shattered the glass
into a million pieces, the mirror now harassed.
