Epiphany

Amidst the many wars I\'ve had with myself, I had an epiphany.

In the middle of gunfire, heavy blows, and gut-punches, curled up in a ball trying to protect myself, I realized growth is forever.

I stopped, uncovered, stood up, and began to move elsewhere.

Riddled with bullet holes, wounds, and abrasions, I traversed through all the seasons. And on that cold journey, I finally found the sun; Rainbows, and a breeze that smells ever so pleasant.

It wasn\'t until I started moving through the storms that I noticed sitting stationary in a whirlwind wasn\'t going to do me any good.

Even bison know not to run from the rain.

To weather through any storm, any battle, I\'ve learned to stand prepared with umbrellas and my sword. Though it’s always sheathed, I still carry it just in case. I\'m ready for whatever comes my way, for I\'ve learned to always stay prepared-- to keep moving.

I\'ve found the sun.

And it\'s warm here.
