Watching the world slowly decay
Mother earth she aching in pain
I never appreciated her enough.
She’s been my mother
Ever since I could remember
Her soul cannot be replaced
Filled with such peace
For the rare place that
Holds the first shades of color
She showers you with rain
Warm or cold. Just ask her
She’ll give you praise.
Where long grass
offers you a warm embrace
A pillow made from tree moss
You let me escape from
Such a hateful place
Poor mother, I’m sorry
On the behalf of the human race
Let my tears fill up
Your empty creeks
