Why Go On?

Many times have I gazed upon an empty
sheet of \"nada\" and wished it would magically
fill itself with emotion and fiery
words.

So my mind wouldn\'t burst upon trying
to collect thoughts and visions.

What black hole looms over the horizon
stealing my brain cells, leaving me staring
inanimately into the void?

Why should I even bother to mentally
and spiritually drain myself when
everything\'s been said a million times
and what I say won\'t make a difference
anyway?

Well, maybe it\'ll be good for a laugh
or a, \"he\'s right, we shouldn\'t be doing
that to the World and people.\"

But soon, those thoughts will just fade
away and all that\'ll be left is concrete,
politics, and steel!

My God! What a losing battle we writers
face today, going against Human Nature
and Society.

What ammunition have we against cold, harsh
reality?

Escape? Yes, but for how long?

Eventually we must come out of hiding and
then...without the protection of our innerworld,
we will be destroyed out of fear of the
unknown...

BUT...our words will become Eternal!

I guess that\'s why we keep pushing on!
