You Pulled Me Out Of The Bottle By Richard Martin 261
You reached down and pulled me out of the bottle,
where I had sunk as low as a man can go.
You held on to me until I could stand on my own,
And why you bothered, I guess I’ll never know.
For a while I stood on my own and held my head up high,
But again, I started drinking, I have no reason why.
I’m asking once again to hold me, until I can stand on my own,
Where I can see clearly again and I won’t be alone.
I have no right to ask you, you’ve been through this before,
But I can’t make it without you, so I’m asking you once more.
To hold me once again till I can hold my head up high,
I promise this will be the last time, that I’ll ask you to try.
