I feed two cats that are not mine
They come around at five to dine
One to the back, one to the front
Showing their bellies, on their hunt
Not just for little things to bite
But for tickles and delight.
My children love them as their own
Accepting they are free to roam
I like to think that they come back,
More for the petting than the snack
Perhaps they come for love alone
And find it at our little home.
(I wonder if they\'ll ever pair
And one day we\'ll find kittens there)
