Why Not Just Call Them Sundays
While the sun was no accident
the moon was
a completely different kettle
of fish of course
and whereas the sky proved
to be the very glue
which held both day and night
together for eternity ..
Each one of those tiny stars just
glowed a little bit ..
Maybe because they were so
far away and each
felt out of it yet tried to bask in
its own former glory ..
Indeed, on reflection he always
intended each one
to provide warmth and to serve
as a guiding lantern
throughout the darkness of night ..
In fact, he had hoped
such precious gifts might soon be
felt freely and in
the same way as his loving smile
and his warmest
embrace might yet be felt by all
those with any faith
left in them .. Just as the oceans
were always meant
to be deep and as blue as Eves
eyes would both
eventually become and even
bluer than blue so
take note yet again, the sun was
no accident waiting
to happen but something greater
than that and it fell
way beyond the reach of any wild
fantasy he might have ..
She was a work in progress tho’
and it was while busy
thinking hard on what he might
do with Adams
spare rib, it dawned on him he
should maybe just
rest up for a while since tomorrow
was to become a very
special day indeed, for all such
tomorrows, would
be known as the day of rest which
without any ceremony
whatsoever he simply named Sunday ..
